More Rt 66

It was only a hop, skip, and a jump, to our next stop in Williams, AZ. If you never heard of this place, take comfort - me neither. But it is a destination immediately adjacent to the railroad line that carries you to the Grand Canyon by train. This time of year that is a good way to go. There are still large piles of snow all over the place here. And it's cold. And it's windy. But let's do this thing!!!! Since we arrived early in the day, we took a couple mile stroll on the old Rt 66 loop that makes up the downtown area of Williams. Plenty of old buildings. The images will tell you these are the signs and times of the 50's and 60's- surviving in the next century. I don't know if it's that big a deal, but it is fun. And fun is good. We are not here to see the past. We are here to hop on the train and go see the Grand Canyon. That is the mission for tomorrow.
